***
Description:
English Translation:
If the Sufi drinks wine in moderation, may his drink be sweet;
Otherwise, may he forget the thought of this act.
He who can offer even a sip of wine
May his hand be in the embrace of his beloved.
Our master said, "Error does not fall on the pen of creation,"
Blessed be the pure sight that covers the errors.
The Turkish king listens to the claims of the claimants,
May he be ashamed of the injustice of Siavush's blood.
Though he proudly did not speak to me, a lowly dervish,
May my life be sacrificed for his sweet, silent almond.
My eyes have become weary of the mirror-gazers of his mole and eyebrow,
May my lips be on the kiss-stealers of his cheek and neck.
May the intoxicating narcissus of his coquettish glance
Drink the blood of the lover in his cup.
Hafez has become known to the world for his servitude to you,
May the ring of servitude to your curls be in his ear.
