May your beauty always increase, Ghazal 107 by Hafez

By admin @admin | poet: Hafez Shirazi | 3 4

***

Description:

English Translation:

May your beauty always increase,
May your face be like a tulip every year.

May the thought of your love in our heads
Increase with every passing day.

May every cypress that grows in the garden
Bow down in service to your stature.

May any eye that is not captivated by your mischief
Be drowned in the blood of tears like a pearl.

May your eye, for the sake of your heart-stealing,
Be skilled in working magic.

Wherever there is a heart grieving for you,
May it be restless and uneasy.

May the stature of all the world's lovers
Be like the letter 'nun' compared to the 'alif' of your stature.

May any heart that is empty of your love
Be excluded from the circle of your union.

May your ruby, which is Hafez's life,
Be far from the lips of the base.
