May your delicate body never need the care of physicians, Ghazal 106 by Hafez
By @admin | poet: Hafez Shirazi | 12 4
***
Description:
English Translation:
May your delicate body never need the care of physicians,
May your fragile being never be harmed.
The health of all the universe is in your health,
May no affliction ever cause pain to your person.
The beauty of your form and essence is due to your safe health,
May your exterior be adorned and your interior pure.
When autumn comes to this garden as a plunderer,
May its path not be toward the tall and slender cypress.
In that gathering where your beauty begins to shine,
May there be no room for the taunts of the envious and the disliking.
Whoever looks upon your moon-like face with an evil eye,
May nothing but their own life be the fuel for your fire.
