Section 10 - Tale of the Vulture and the Raven: Thus spoke a vulture to a raven.
Thus said the vulture to the raven
There was no one more observant than me
The raven said, 'This way cannot be passed'
Come, and see what you can spot around the plain
I heard that a day's journey was covered
It looked from a height to the lowlands below
It said, 'I saw, if you believe it'
That a single grain of wheat will rise in the desert
The raven could not remain patient with amazement
They raised their heads from above, into the declivity
As the vulture swooped down upon the grain
A long commitment was bound to him
He did not know that eating that grain
Was a trap set by fate around his neck
Not every shell holds a pearl inside
Nor does every arrow hit its mark
The raven said, 'What use is seeing that grain'
When the sight of it brings no trap from your enemy?
I heard him say, while his neck was bound
There is no precaution against the beneficial value
When death raised its hand upon his blood
Fate closed the sharp eye of his vision
In water where no shore is found
Floating pride cannot serve any purpose
