Section 2 - On Kindness to the Weak: Shelter the orphan with your shadow.
Cast your shadow upon the head of the fatherless
Brush away his dust and scratch his itch.
Do you not know what hardship he has endured?
Does a tree ever remain fresh without roots?
When you see an orphan with a bowed head before you
Do not kiss the face of your own child.
If an orphan cries, who will soothe him?
And if he becomes angry, who will bear his burden?
Beware that he does not cry, for the mighty Throne
Trembles when an orphan cries.
With mercy, wipe the tears from his eyes
With compassion, brush the dust from his face.
If his own shadow (father) has gone from over his head
You nurture him in your own shadow.
I had a crowned head then
When I had my head on my father's lap.
If a fly sat on my body
The minds of several people would be disturbed.
Now, if my enemies take me captive
None of my friends will be a helper.
I am aware of the pain of children
For in childhood, my father passed away.
Someone removes a thorn from an orphan's foot
In his dream, he saw the throne of Khujand.
He kept saying and wandering in the gardens
What flowers have bloomed for me from that thorn.
As long as you can, do not be deprived of mercy
For you will be shown mercy when you show mercy.
When you bestow a favor, do not become self-worshipping
That I am the master and others are subordinate.
If the sword of fate has felled him
Has the sword of fate not yet been sharpened (for you too)?
When you see thousands praying for the prosperity of the state
Give thanks to God for the blessing.
For many people have their eyes on you
Not you have your eyes on someone's hand.
I have called 'generosity' the way of leaders
I spoke incorrectly, it is the morality of prophets.
