Section 2 - Story: A young man turned away from his mother's advice.

In his youth, he turned away from his mother's advice

And his aching heart burned like fire

When he was in distress, she brought his cradle

Saying, 'O faithless one, have you forgotten your promise?'

Weren't you crying and helpless and small

When you kept me awake at nights?

Weren't you powerless in your cradle?

Unable even to shoo a fly away?

You were the one troubled by a single fly

And now you're the master, strong and capable

You will again be helpless in the depth of the grave

Unable to defend yourself from the ants

How will your eye light a lamp

When the graveworm eats the marrow of your brain?

When your eyes are closed, how will you see the way

Not knowing when to walk out of the pit?

If you had thanked God for your sight

Or else you're as blind as the rest

Your teacher didn't teach you wisdom and reason

God has ingrained this trait in your nature

If you had kept your heart listening to the truth

You wouldn't have mistaken falsehood for truth
