Drinking water is not sinful by divine decree,

Yet spilling blood by a fatwa is deemed just, you see.

Whom does divine law permit to destroy,

Unless you have no fear in their life to deploy.

If you know of kin among their clan,

Show them mercy and bring ease as you can.

The sin lies with the man of oppression,

Why should women and helpless children face transgression?

Your body is strong, and your army vast,

But do not invade the enemy's lands so fast.

For they may flee to a fortress high,

And harm an innocent country nearby.

Look closely at the state of prisoners inside,

For among them, the innocent may abide.

When a merchant dies in your domain,

Stealing his wealth would bring disdain.

After they weep bitterly over his plight,

They recount his kin and lineage outright.

Alas, the poor one perished in foreign lands,

What little he left, the tyrant seized with his hands.

Think of that child, now fatherless in despair,

Beware the cries from his sorrowful heart laid bare.

A good name built over fifty years,

Can be ruined by one foul name that appears.

The virtuous leave behind eternal fame,

They never wronged the wealth of the common domain.

Even if one rules all horizons as king,

If he robs the rich, he's no better than a beggar taking.

A nobleman may die from dire poverty,

But he would not fill his stomach from the poor's property.
