From Iblis (Satan), prostration will never come,

Nor will goodness be found in one of bad essence.

Do not give position and opportunity to the malevolent,

An enemy in a well and a demon in a bottle are better.

Do not say that perhaps this snake can be killed with a stick,

When it has its head under your stone, crush it.

Strike with the pen (punish with writing/decree) the one who did wrong to a subordinate,

The pen is a better hand for him than the sword.

The administrator who establishes bad laws,

Will take you to give you to hell.

Do not say that this administrator is enough for the kingdom,

Do not call him an administrator, for he is a ruiner of people.

Sa'id brought Sa'di's words to the point,

That it is the order of the kingdom and the planning of opinion.
