Hekayat 25: An Arab king spoke to his subjects.

I heard that one of the Arab kings was saying to his courtiers: Double the stipend of so-and-so, as he is constantly present at the court and awaiting orders; while other servants are engaged in amusement and play and are negligent in performing their duties.

A man of heart (a wise man) heard this and cried out from the depths of his being. They asked him: What did you see? He said: The ranks of servants at the court of God, the Exalted, are just like this example.

If someone comes to the service of the king two mornings

On the third, he will surely look at him with kindness.

Greatness lies in accepting commands

Abandoning commands is a sign of deprivation.

Whoever has the appearance of the righteous

Has his head in service at the threshold.
