Hekayat 37: News brought to Khosrow the Just.
حکایت شماره ۳۷: کسی مژده پیش انوشیروان عادل آورد. گفت: شنیدم که فلان دشمن تو را خدای ،عز و جل، برداشت.
Someone brought news to Anushirvan the Just. He said: I heard that God, may He be glorified and exalted, has taken away your enemy.
کسی مژده پیش انوشیروانِ عادل آورد. گفت: شنیدم که فلان دشمنِ تو را خدای ،عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ، برداشت.
He said: Have you heard that He has left me behind?
گفت: هیچ شنیدی که مرا بگذاشت؟
If the enemy has died, there is no place for rejoicing,
For our life is not eternal either.
اگر بمُرد عَدو، جایِ شادمانی نیست
که زندگانیِ ما نیز جاودانی نیست
