Hekayat No. 11: A dervish faced a necessity.

A dervish encountered a need.

Someone said: 'So-and-so has immense wealth; if he becomes aware of your need, he will surely not delay in fulfilling it.'

He said: 'I do not know him.'

He said: 'I will guide you to him.'

He took his hand and led him to that person's house.

He saw someone with a frown and a stern demeanor.

He turned back and said nothing.

Someone asked him: 'What did you do?'

He said: 'I exchanged his gift for his presence.'

Do not take your need to a sour-faced person

Lest you become worn out by his bad temper

If you tell your heart's sorrow, tell it to someone

Whose face immediately brings you comfort
