One of the great Imams had a son who passed away. They asked what should be written on his tombstone. He said: 'The honor and glory of the Holy Quran are greater than it being permissible to write it on such places that will be worn away over time, and people will pass over it, and dogs will urinate on it. If they must write something, this verse is sufficient:'

Oh, whenever greenery sprouted in the garden

How happy my heart became

Pass by, O friend, until the time of spring

You see greenery sprouted on my flower (grave)
