I asked a great man about the meaning of this hadith: 'The most hostile of your enemies is your own self which is between your two sides.'

He said: 'Because any enemy with whom you do good becomes a friend, except for the self, which, the more you appease it, the more it increases its opposition.'

A person becomes angel-like by eating less

And if he eats like animals, he will become like inanimate matter

Whomever's wish you fulfill becomes obedient to your command

Unlike the self, which commands when it finds its desires fulfilled
