Hekayat No. 3: A wise young man with great virtues and a nature...

A wise young man had a great share of the arts of virtue and a self-restrained nature. So much so that whenever he sat in gatherings of scholars, he kept his tongue tied. Once, his father said: O son! You too, say what you know. He said: I fear that they will ask about what I do not know, and I will be put to shame.

Have you not heard that a Sufi was hammering

A few nails under his sandals?

A sergeant grabbed his sleeve

Saying: Come and shoe my steed.
