It is said in the Gospel: O son of Adam! If I grant you wealth, you will become preoccupied with possessions, turning away from Me, and if I make you poor, you will sit with a heavy heart. So where will you find the sweetness of My remembrance, and when will you hasten to My worship?

Sometimes in prosperity, arrogant and heedless,

Sometimes in poverty, weary and wounded.

Since your state is like this in ease and hardship,

I do not know when you will devote yourself to the Truth.
