He whose ear of devotion is created heavy (deaf), how can he hear, and he whom the lasso of fortune is pulling, how can he not go?
آن را که گوش ارادت گران آفریده‌اند، چون کند که بشنود و آن را که کمند سعادت کشان می‌برد، چه کند که نرود؟
The dark night for God's friends
Shines like a radiant day.
شب تاریک دوستان خدای
می‌بتابد چو روز رخشنده
And this fortune is not by the strength of arms,
Until the forgiving God bestows it.
وین سعادت به زور بازو نیست
تا نبخشد خدای بخشنده
To whom should I complain other than you, since there is no other judge,
And there is no hand higher than your hand.
از تو به که نالم که دگر داور نیست
وز دست تو هیچ دست بالاتر نیست
Whom you guide, no one will lose his way,
And whom you cause to go astray, there is no guide for him.
آن را که تو رهبری کسی گم نکند
وآن را که تو گم کنی کسی رهبر نیست
