Wisdom No. 97: Gold comes out of the mine by digging, and from the hand of a miser by agonizing.

Gold is extracted from the mine by digging, but from the hand of a miser, it is extracted by taking his life.

The mean-spirited do not consume [their wealth] and keep it [hoarded],

They say, 'Let us hope for whom it will be consumed?'

One day you will see it in the enemy's possession,

The gold remains, and the miser is dead and in the dust.
