To hold a gathering before the high throne

To study the work of the stars and the heavens

They went and endured great hardship

To uncover the secrets of the stars

For three days, they deliberated on their task

They took hold of the Roman star tables

They spoke to the king with great respect

We have calculated with the revolving wheel

Thus, the justice of the stars revealed

That this bright water would wish to flow

From the daughter of Mehrab and the son of Sam

A ball of greatness and good reputation will emerge

His life would be long and full of power

His strength, principles, and honor would all endure

He would be brave and mighty, with strong horns and mane

In both battle and feast, none would compare

Where his warriors' wet hair would not hold

They would dry, and his comrades' hearts would harden

An eagle would not pass over his spear

He would not count the leaders of the world

One would rise in battle, commanding all

He would capture all the lions in a single noose

He would make the air weep with his sword

He would turn fire into a fiery grave

His belt was fastened like that of the kings

He was the refuge of the riders of Iran
