Section 4: After that, a clamor arose from Iran

After that, a cry rose from Iran

From every side, war and turmoil emerged

The bright white day turned dark

The connection with Jamshid was severed

The divine glory turned dark for him

He inclined toward crookedness and foolishness

From every side, kingship appeared

A seeker of fame arose from every corner

He assembled an army and prepared for war

His heart was torn from the love of Jamshid

One by one, armies rose from Iran

They took the path towards the Arabs

They heard that there was a ruler there

The king is full of fear, a dragon-shaped figure

The horsemen of Iran all sought the king

They all headed straight toward Zahhak

They hailed him as king with praise

They called him the king of the land of Iran

When his dragon-like form came like the wind

He placed a crown upon his head on the land of Iran

From Iran and the Arabs, an army was chosen

He gathered a circle from all the countries

He turned his face toward the throne of Jamshid

As if the world had become a ring for him

When Jamshid's fortune began to decline

The new world ruler found himself in distress

He went and gave him the throne and crown

Greatness, diadem, wealth, and army

For a hundred years, no one saw him in the world

He was crowned king, but then disappeared

After a hundred years, on a day in the China Sea

Appeared that king of impure faith

He had been hidden by the evil dragon

And did not escape from a tragic end

When Zahhak suddenly brought him into his grasp

He gave him no time to pause

With a saw, he cut him entirely in two

He made the world free from his fear

The royal throne and seat of power

Time swept them away like straw on a path

What use was the throne after him?

What benefit was there in enduring such suffering?

Seven hundred years passed over him

He created all that was good and bad

What is the need for a long life?

When the world will not reveal your secrets

It nourishes you with honey and drink

Only your soft voice reaches the ear

Just like the world that spreads kindness

It will not reveal a face of evil either

You will be joyful and run with desire

You will reveal the secret of your heart with speed

One fine game brings it out

But brings pain and blood within your heart

My heart is tired of this world of dust

Oh God, deliver me quickly from this pain
