Section 8: Fereydun raised his head to the sun
Fereydun raised his head to the sun
He tightly girded his belt for his father's vengeance
He happily went out on a Khordad day
With good fortune and a world-illuminating omen
The army gathered at his court
His headquarters ascended into the clouds
With elephants and buffaloes pulling the heavens
They carried provisions for the army ahead
Kianush and the noble were at the king's side
Like younger brothers, wishing him well
He traveled from one station to another like the wind
With a head full of vengeance and a heart full of justice
He turned towards the Arvand River
As a man seeking a diadem would
If you do not know the language of warriors
The next station of that noble king
Was on the bank of the Tigris and the city of Baghdad
