Ghazal No. 199: Oh you who have remained in your house and are separated from your city
O you who have remained without house and possessions and separated from your city
May you return joyfully from your journey to the House of God
Days spent in travel with hardship and nights without rest
In the love of the pilgrimage to the Kaaba and the meeting with Mustafa
Having rubbed your face and chest on that sacred place of truth
Having become like those who are secure in the House of God
How were you and how did you fare on this dangerous path?
May God keep everyone safe on this path
In the heavens, from the clamor of the pilgrims' 'Labbaik'
Up to the Throne (of God), there are shouts and cries from the sound
May the soul kiss your eye and place its head at your feet
O you who have seen Marwa and ascended Safa
You have become a guest of God, and God has promised
That the guest is dear, especially before us
May the soul be the dust of the camel that carries the pilgrims
Up to Mash'ar al-Haram and up to the dwelling of Mina
(You have) returned from the pilgrimage, and your heart has remained resident there
The soul has taken the ring (of servitude), and the body has become afflicted
From the Levant, Dhat al-Juhfa, and from Basra, Dhat `Irq
(You have) come here with sword and shroud, saying 'Our Lord!'
Ascend Mount Safa, face the Kaaba at the top of the mountain
Say Takbir, brother, and Tahlil, and also pray
Now that your seven circumambulations have been accepted
Perform two Rak'ahs at the Station (of Abraham)
Then ascend Marwa and do likewise
Up to seven times, and again circumambulations of the House
Until the Day of Tarwiya, listen to the eloquent sermon
Then come to the plain of Arafat in prayer
Then come to the Standing Place and stand near the mountain
Then in the morning, another twenty (prayers) in place
And then turn your face towards Mina, and after that
Up to seven times, throw and pick up the stones
May our greetings be upon the (Black) Stone and the Hatim
O our longing for Zamzam and that abode of faithfulness
It was morning, let us rise from sleep around us
May the morning breeze give us the scent of Idhkhir and Khalil
