Ghazal No. 209: Oh you who knocked on our door, come into the candlelit hall
غزل شماره ۲۰۹: ای در ما را زده شمع سرایی درآ
O you who have knocked on our door, O candle of the house, come in!
The house of the heart is yours, the house of God, come in!
ای در ما را زده شمع سرایی درآ
خانه دل آن توست خانه خدایی درآ
The house is illuminated by you, it has found light
O (you who are) heart and soul, your place is here, O where are you? Come in!
خانه ز تو تافتهست روشنیی یافتهست
ای دل و جان جای تو ای تو کجایی درآ
O domestic idol, source of madness
O you whose goodness is all-encompassing, then who do you choose? Come in!
ای صنم خانگی مایه دیوانگی
ای همه خوبی تو را پس تو کرایی درآ
