Ghazal No. 242: The leather bag of our heart, the musk of our body
Our heart is a wineskin, our body is a musk pod
Nicely and coquettishly on the back of the water carrier
(He) filled his belly from the spring of the soul
(Saying), 'O thirsty one, come, O thirsty one, come!'
The water carrier is hidden, and that musk pod is visible
But (it) is not separate from the musk (itself)
If that lion of knowledge dances
His dance is nothing but the dance of the air
I am far from sight, look at my action
So that the fragrance may be a witness to the aloeswood
The soul is not satisfied with your fragrance
O spring of the soul, O eye of contentment
