Ghazal No. 243: Open the door, come in, for the joy without you is not acceptable
Open the door, come in, may there be no joy without you
By the right of your intoxicated eyes, for you are the spring of fidelity
My speech becomes tied, you open one of your curls
I and the sun and the morning light, love and devotion are ruined
I am a verse in love, so read me aloud
Mothers of love, ascend, here is your ladder of passion
I saw him passing by intoxicated, I said, 'O moon, where to?'
He said, 'No, do not do this, come with me in the covenant'
When I set off before him, he quickly picked up his feet
In pursuit of his swift steps, what place is there for wind and lightning?
Since I saw them, I have become without an 'I'
(Just) an image in the glass of the light of earth and heaven
The heart rode his light, so it polished the heart and chose (it)
Everyone who sought his light was illuminated like him, was illuminated
How will anyone other than the one without annihilation meet him?
Come, without your 'you', before me, for your 'you' is unlawful (to me)
I pleaded with him with praise, I said, 'O soul, soul-increaser'
He said, 'Do not say praise for a moment, for duality exists in praise'
You close two lips from duality, open the eye of eternity
If speech opens from the closed lip, open, open!
Indeed, its explanation is upon us, you do not come between us
Just as a man, when he sees (his) house cramped, will take off his clothes
Not that every night your soul becomes separate from your body
In the midst of your soul, there is an unsuitable quality
That if it were not for that sand, you would not have come back like the morning breeze
(And) you would not have gone running, running at night to the shore of the Red Sea of purity
(He) came back, and as long as he is with him, the servant is a servant, and God is God
(It) remains in the bag of the body like unlawful gold and silver
Place your soul on the palm of seeking, for seeking is alchemy
Until the body is separated from the soul, do not be separated from the soul of the soul
Even if they empty the reed, they do not leave it without sound
Go after the lion and seize the lion, for (he is) Ali and Murtaza
You were non-existent for centuries, they recited 'Has there not come' (to you)?
The line of Truth is the imprint of the heart, do not call the line of Truth a mistake
An alif (the first letter of the Arabic alphabet) becomes 'no,' and you, from alif-lam (the definite article), became 'no'
Hurry, wash your hands and mouth, for his lip said 'The call to prayer!'
When you become occupied with the Truth, you become free from water and clay (the material world)
When you become without hand and heart, put your hand in this cloak
