Ghazal No. 25: I did not tell you yesterday, Oh incomparable beautiful one
Did I not tell you yesterday, O unparalleled, beautiful-faced one?
O stature of the moon, from envy of you, how the sky has become bent double!
Today you have become a hundred times more; you were a chamberlain, you have become a sultan;
You have become both the Joseph of Canaan and the glory of the light of Mustafa (Muhammad).
Tonight I will praise you, O fairy; tomorrow I will refrain from speaking;
Tomorrow, earth and heaven will be exhausted in describing you.
Tonight I consider you a treasure; I am your slave and servant;
Tomorrow the kingdom will become senseless, and even the Throne will rend its garment.
Suddenly, a violent wind will arise; neither roof nor door will remain;
How can a gnat fly with these wings when it does not have the feet of an elephant?
Again, from the midst of the storm, that beauty and splendor will shine forth;
Every particle will become laughing in the glory of that sun of the morning.
The particles will learn from that sun of beautiful countenance;
A hundredfold captivating particles, which it did not have from the beginning.
