Ghazal No. 301: Oh leader and moon of the world, do not sit, do not sleep tonight
O head and full moon of the world, do not sit, do not sleep tonight
For Buraq has come to the door, so when you are free, stand up
When the path was closed and hope was broken
You rise to the heavens, open the path and the creed
A breath of yours does not come, it opens two thousand doors
Like the special emir, read, he opens those lips with prayer
Go to the sea like a fish that has found a royal pearl
When he says what do you want, you say I desire you
When I heard your scratching, I ran to the head like a pen
When I reached your heart, what can I do with the headache of the body?
From the greeting of the happy greeters, I pull my skirt in pride
For our heart and soul have become perfumed from the greeting
From the hand such wine, from the breath such address
It is strange if a troubled heart remains in the world
Grown from the wealth of God, grown from one's own need
In the occupations of 'I am the truth' has become a vanishing flame
Pull the water from this clay, for you are the soul of the sun
For the pure spirit does not remain when it becomes compounded with clay
I bring blessings upon you, may nearness be increased
For by the nearness of the whole, all parts become near
The two worlds from the blowing of the trumpet are like resurrection before me
Toward the soul they are shaken, and toward the corporeal they are arranged
Do not strive with words, for this glory is from the heart, not from speaking
For art is found from the foot, and the fox saw from the breath
