Ghazal No. 355: In this house, oh heart, there is sometimes crookedness and sometimes straightness
In this crooked house, O heart, sometimes be straight
Go out, for the house is our house
Like the wind, you are sometimes hot and sometimes cold
Go where there is neither heat nor cold
You want to keep me hidden
I am day, and day is always scandalous
You are a water master who rules over the stream
The soul cannot fit into the stream, for it is a sea
You have wings and feathers like a bird
What care do men have for wings and feathers?
The impure in our stream is clear water
The fly on our yogurt is a falcon and a Simorgh
Hail, O sun of the placeless
That every atom is from the radiance of the Pleiades
Praise be to God, we leaped with His love
From this narrowness which is the mihrab and the cross
Take the drum and go to the market
Proclaim that Joseph is handsome
I tore the veil of reputation and hypocrisy
For my soul rose from its own soul
