غزل شماره ۳۵۸: نگار خوب شکربار چونست
How is the beautiful, sugar-scattering beloved?
How is the light of the eyes and the sight?
نگار خوب شکربار چونست
چراغ دیده و دیدار چونست
How wondrous is that tale-bearing glance?
How wondrous is that thieving curl?
عجب آن غمزه غماز چونست
عجب آن طره طرار چونست
How wondrous is that famous one of the market of beauty?
How wondrous is the prosperity of that flower garden?
عجب آن شهره بازار خوبی
عجب آن رونق گلزار چونست
My heart has sat in mourning from love
How wondrous is the beloved's heart in the love of the heart?
دلم از مهر در ماتم نشستهست
عجب در مهر دل دلدار چونست
From His own kindness, that beloved called me His beloved
How wondrous is that beloved without this beloved?
ز لطف خویش یارم خواند آن یار
عجب آن یار بی این یار چونست
In appearance, He caresses the servants
How wondrous is He with the servant in secrets?
به ظاهر بندگان را مینوازد
عجب با بنده در اسرار چونست
When I first saw Him, He gave me my soul
I knew how He is in giving
چو اول دیدمش جانیم بخشید
بدانستم که در ایثار چونست
If He repeated that generosity
You would be certain how He is in repetition
اگر دوباره کردی آن کرم را
یقین گشتی که در تکرار چونست
How wondrous is that satin-clad, curly poetry
Around the satin face?
عجب آن شعر اطلس پوش جعدش
بگرد اطلس رخسار چونست
Ask the physician of the lovers again
How is that sick narcissus?
طبیب عاشقان را بازپرسید
که تا آن نرگس بیمار چونست
How wondrous is that Tatar musk pod?
How wondrous is that Bulgar curl?
عجب آن نافه تاتار چونست
عجب آن طره بلغار چونست
How wondrous on the circle of the verified line
That it has broken a hundred compasses?
عجب بر دایره خط محقق
که بشکستهست صد پرگار چونست
I am wretched, a captive of a low moan
He does not ask one day how that wretched one is
من زارم اسیر ناله زیر
نپرسد روزکی کان زار چونست
My heart is a thief of His gaze, a thief of this thief
How wondrous is that thief of the thief of the thief?
دلم دزد نظر او دزد این دزد
عجب آن دزد دزدافشار چونست
You, O friend, like me, are a companion of the cave
Put your head in the cave, how is this cave?
تو را ای دوست چون من یار غارم
سری در غار کن کاین غار چونست
So that when I see you, I will scatter my soul
I will show the people how the spectator is
که تا بینم تو را جان برفشانم
نمایم خلق را نظار چونست
My speech has no end, but
I showed the form of that speech, how it is
نهایت نیست گفتم را ولیکن
نمودم شکل آن گفتار چونست
