Ghazal No. 394: I want a spring that increases all
غزل شماره ۳۹۴: چشمهای خواهم که از وی جمله را افزایش است
I desire a spring from which all receive increase
I desire a beloved from whom the dead find comfort
چشمهای خواهم که از وی جمله را افزایش است
دلبری خواهم که از وی مرده را آسایش است
I am the servant of the encompassing sea that is higher than the encompassing
Both stone and jewel receive forgiveness from his grace
بنده بحر محیطم کز محیطی برتر است
سنگ و گوهر هر دو را از فضل او بخشایش است
The garden and the peacock each have a share of his beauty
He does not leave the crow empty, even though it is unadorned
باغ و طاووسند هر یک از جمالش بانصیب
زاغ را خالی ندارد گر چه بیآرایش است
If the form accepts deficiency, the meaning has no lack
The lover is in taste, even though he is in purification
صورت ار نقصان پذیرد نیست معنی را کمی
عاشق اندر ذوق باشد گر چه در پالایش است
Look into the soul that he is unaware of height
Even though in his mold there is defilement in the house
بنگر اندر جان که هست او از بلندی بیخبر
گر چه اندر قالب او در خانه آلایش است
Shams Tabrizi, your arrival is for the house of fortune
Its courtyard is illumination and its roof is adornment
شمس تبریزی قدومت خانه اقبال را
صحن را افروزش است و بام را اندایش است
