Ghazal No. 398: From their Lord's drink, see all the righteous intoxicated
غزل شماره ۳۹۸: از سقاهم ربهم بین جمله ابرار مست
See, from 'their Lord gave them to drink,' all the righteous are intoxicated
And from the eternal beauty, the seven and five and four are intoxicated
از سقاهم ربهم بین جمله ابرار مست
وز جمال لایزالی هفت و پنج و چار مست
See this resurrection, as if it has become manifest from the unseen
The jar and pitcher of the Pool of Kawthar are intoxicated from the wine of the Compeller
این قیامت بین که گویی آشکارا شد ز غیب
خم و کوزه حوض کوثر از می جبار مست
The body is like a shadow on the earth, and the pure soul of lovers
In the paradise of love, 'beneath which rivers flow,' is intoxicated
تن چو سایه بر زمین و جان پاک عاشقان
در بهشت عشق تجری تحتها الانهار مست
When the manifestation of the beauty of God increases, see
Every particle of both worlds has become Moses-like, intoxicated
چون فزون گردد تجلی از جمال حق ببین
ذره ذره هر دو عالم گشته موسی وار مست
From the demands of the intoxicated and the answer 'you will not see me'
In the intercession, every hair of Ahmad the Chosen is intoxicated
از تقاضاهای مستان وز جواب لن تران
در شفاعت مو به موی احمد مختار مست
He is the head, and we are like the turban wrapped around him
From the wine of that head, both head and turban become intoxicated
او سر است و ما چو دستار اندر او پیچیدهایم
از شراب آن سری گردد سر و دستار مست
Joseph of Egypt, lower your head and look into Egypt
See the city full of tumult, and all the marketplace intoxicated
یوسف مصری فروکن سر به مصر اندرنگر
شهر پرآشوب بین و جمله بازار مست
If I tell you, O brother, you will be amazed at this wonder
The throne and the chair, the heavens, all these actions are intoxicated
گر بگویم ای برادر خیره مانی زین عجب
عرش و کرسی آسمانها این همه کردار مست
Shams Tabrizi arose, he set a feast in my heart
From the wine of love, these doors and walls have become intoxicated
شمس تبریزی برآمد در دلم بزمی نهاد
از شراب عشق گشتست این در و دیوار مست
