Ghazal No. 48: See the full moon that broke our sleep
Behold the perfect moon, how it has broken our sleep
It shone from the seventh heaven in our ruined homeland
Take sleep from our eyes, since from you day became night
Do not give water to the thirsty ones of love, our water is enough
All the paths drip with blood from the blade of his love
All the alleys have taken the scent from our roasted livers
(Someone) called the boundless sugar, boundless sugar
You became proud of your own taste, listen to this answer of ours
Why are you frowning, unless your wine was not clear?
For the sake of testing, drink a cup from our wine
What will the lovers become on the day of union, O God?
When the world is separated from our veiled idol
From Tabriz, the sun of religion showed its face to the lovers
O you, a thousand praises upon our moon and sun
