Ghazal No. 225: Cupbearer, the tale of the cypress, rose, and tulip continues
غزل شماره ۲۲۵: ساقی حدیث سرو و گل و لاله میرود
The cupbearer tells the story of the cypress, the rose, and the tulip
And this discussion is with the three washed ones
ساقی حدیث سرو و گل و لاله میرود
وین بحث با ثلاثه غساله میرود
It gives that the bride of the meadow has found the limit of beauty
The work of this time is going from the art of brokerage
می ده که نوعروس چمن حد حسن یافت
کار این زمان ز صنعت دلاله میرود
All the parrots of India are sugar-breakers
From this Persian sugar that goes to Bengal
شکرشکن شوند همه طوطیان هند
زین قند پارسی که به بنگاله میرود
See the passage of place and time in the journey of poetry
For this child goes on a one-year journey in one night
طی مکان ببین و زمان در سلوک شعر
کاین طفل یک شبه ره یک ساله میرود
See that intoxicating eye, the deceiver of the worshiper
The caravan of the morning is going from behind
آن چشم جادوانه عابدفریب بین
کش کاروان سحر ز دنباله میرود
Do not go on the path of the world's deception, for this old woman
Sits in wickedness and goes in deception
از ره مرو به عشوه دنیا که این عجوز
مکاره مینشیند و محتاله میرود
The spring breeze blows from the king's rose garden
And the wine's dew is going into the tulip cup
باد بهار میوزد از گلستان شاه
وز ژاله باده در قدح لاله میرود
Hafez, from the joy of the gathering of Sultan Ghiyath al-Din
Do not be unaware, for your work is going from crying
حافظ ز شوق مجلس سلطان غیاث دین
غافل مشو که کار تو از ناله میرود
