Ghazal No. 268: A charming flower from the garden of the world is enough for us
غزل شماره ۲۶۸: گلعذاری ز گلستان جهان ما را بس
A rose-faced one from the garden of the world is enough for us
From this meadow, the shade of that tall cypress is enough for us
گلعذاری ز گلستان جهان ما را بس
زین چمن سایه آن سرو روان ما را بس
May I be far from the companionship of the hypocrites
From the great ones of the world, a heavy goblet is enough for us
من و همصحبتی اهل ریا دورم باد
از گرانان جهان رطل گران ما را بس
The palace of paradise is given as a reward for deeds
We, who are rogues and beggars, the tavern is enough for us
قصر فردوس به پاداش عمل می‌بخشند
ما که رندیم و گدا دیر مغان ما را بس
Sit by the stream and see the passage of time
For this hint from the transient world is enough for us
بنشین بر لب جوی و گذر عمر ببین
کاین اشارت ز جهان گذران ما را بس
Look at the cash of the world's market and the world's torment
If it is not enough for you, this profit and loss is enough for us
نقد بازار جهان بنگر و آزار جهان
گر شما را نه بس این سود و زیان ما را بس
The beloved is with us, what need is there to seek more?
The fortune of the companionship of that soul's confidant is enough for us
یار با ماست چه حاجت که زیادت طلبیم
دولت صحبت آن مونس جان ما را بس
From your door, O God, do not send me to paradise
For the corner of your alley is enough for us, beyond all existence and place
از در خویش خدا را به بهشتم مفرست
که سر کوی تو از کون و مکان ما را بس
Hafez, to complain about the cup of fate is unfair
A nature like water and flowing ghazals are enough for us
حافظ از مشرب قسمت گله ناانصافیست
طبع چون آب و غزل‌های روان ما را بس
