Ghazal No. 291: We have tested our fate in this city
We have tested our luck in this city
We must pull out our belongings from this abyss
For I have been so troubled and sighed so much
I have set fire to my body, like a rose, piece by piece
Last night, a nightingale's song came to me, how sweet
The rose has spread its ears from the branch of the tree
O heart, be happy, for that beloved is fierce
He will not sit still, for he is driven by his own luck
Do you want the world to pass you by, both hard and soft
Pass by the weak promise and the hard words of your own
It is time to set fire to your separation and the burning within
I will throw fire on all my belongings and my own cooking
O Hafez, if your desire is fulfilled constantly
Jamshid also did not remain far from his throne
