Ghazal No. 422: O you who have come with the long chain of your locks.
O you who have come with long, curly locks
May your time be blessed, for you have come to charm the mad
Do not refuse coquetry for a moment, and change your habit
Since you have come to ask for the master's favor
Before your height, I die, whether in peace or in war
For in every state, you have come worthy of pride
You have mixed water and fire with your ruby lips
Evil eye be gone, for you have come as a great magician
Praise be to your tender heart, which for the sake of reward
Has come to pray, slain by your own coquetry
What is my asceticism compared to you, who have come to plunder my heart
Drunk and bewildered, you have come to the retreat of secrets
Hafez said, 'Your cloak is stained with wine again'
Perhaps you have returned from the sect of this group
