No. 4: His sorrow has found shelter in my heart - My mind, like his locks, has turned to madness.
His sorrow has taken refuge in my heart
My head, like his locks, has been seized by madness
His lips, like fire, are the water of life
From that water, a fire has taken hold in us
The Huma of my ambition is a lifetime that has taken
The desire for that stature and height
I became a lover of his lofty height
For the affairs of lovers have risen high
Since we are under the shadow of his grace
Why has he withdrawn his shadow from us?
The morning breeze smells of amber today
Has my beloved taken the path of the desert?
From the sea of my two eyes, the pearl of tears
The world has been captured in the pearl of lullabies
The tale of Hafez, O cypress of jasmine scent
Has risen high in describing your stature
