Love and Soul - Rumi | Full Poem

Description: A beautiful Poem written by Jalaluddin Rumi

Poem: " Love and Soul "
Apart from Love,
everything passes away.
The way to heaven is in your heart.
Open and lift the wings of Love!
When Love’s wings are strong,
you need no ladder.
Though the world is thorns,
a lover’s heart is a bower of roses.
Though heaven’s wheel be mired down,
lovers’ lives go forward.
Invite love into each dark corner.
The lover is bright as a hundred thousand candles!
Even if a lover seems to be alone,
the secret Beloved is nearby.
The time-span of union is eternity.
The life is a jar, and in it,
union is the pure wine.
If we aren’t together, of what use is the jar?
The moment I heard my first love story
I began seeking you,
not realizing the search was useless.
Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere;
they are in one another’s souls all along.

The Alchemy of Love
You come to us
from another world.

From beyond the stars
and void of space.
Transcendent, pure,
of unimaginable beauty,
bringing with you
the essence of love.

You transform all
who are touched by you.
Mundane concerns,
troubles and sorrows
dissolve in your presence,
bringing joy
to ruler and ruled,
to peasant and king.

You bewilder us
with your grace.
All evils
transform into
goodness.

You are the master alchemist.

You light the fire of love
in earth and sky,
in heart and soul
of every being.

Through your love
existence and nonexistence merge.
All opposites unite.
All that is profane
becomes sacred again.

Jalaluddin Muhammad Balkhi Rumi r.a

Soothe Your Soul: Persian Santoor - Healing Journey Meditation

Description: The Persian Santoor, Santur or Santour, is a traditional hammered dulcimer from Iran. In Persian music this instrument is tuned and played quite differently than I demonstrate here. I have developed my own way of playing and adopted the tuning of the Santur according to it. In this way I prefer to play the Santoor in a beautifully relaxing, meditative way, with the main intention to serve for your Healing, Meditation, Yoga and other spiritual practices. This Journey uses the healing frequency of 432 Hertz, said to be more holistic, natural and whole. I hope you receive these healing blessings and can invite this gentle, ambient music into your life.
Thank you for joining in, and please let's stay in touch: Follow me here on YT and Instagram. I plan on releasing more Santoor instrumental music. Make sure to stay in touch not to miss it!

Before Life - RUMI (Sufi Mysticism) Powerful Spiritual Poem

Description: Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi, better known simply as Rumi, was perhaps the greatest Sufi mystic and the finest Persian poet of all time. He had a great influence on Muslim writing and culture.

It is believed that Rumi would turn round and round while reciting his poetry, and it is this dance which formed the basis for the Whirling Dervishes, after his death. Dervish means doorway, and the dance is believed to be a mystical portal between the earthly and cosmic worlds.

Poem: Before Life

I wasn't like this before.
I wasn't out of my mind and senses.
Once I used to be wise like you,
Not crazy. insane and broken down
Like I am now.

I wasn't the admirer of life
Which has no trace, no being.
I used to ask, "Who is this?
What is that?."
And search all the time.

Since you have wisdom,
Sit and think
That probably I was like this before.
I haven't changed much.

I used to try to make
Myself better than everybody.
I hadn't been hunted
With the ever-growing Love before.
I tried to rise above the sky
With my ambition
Yet I didn't know
I was just wandering in the desert.
At the end, I have raised
A treasure from the ground.

7 Powerful Poems by Rumi - That Can Change Your Life

Description: Seven most powerful poems by Rumi that have the power to change your life. Jalaluddin Rumi, the great Sufi poet and mystic, has inspired countless souls with his profound and timeless verses. His poetry delves into the deepest aspects of the human experience—love, longing, soul, and the divine. Join us as we take you on a journey through Rumi’s spiritual wisdom, exploring these seven extraordinary poems that resonate with universal truths and offer a path to inner peace and enlightenment.

1. "Why Was I Ever Created?"
In this soul-stirring poem, Rumi delves into the existential question of purpose. He reflects on the nature of creation and the deep yearning within every soul to understand its place in the universe. Rumi’s words remind us that our existence is not random but part of a divine plan, urging us to seek out our true purpose with a heart full of love and wonder.

2. "Union"
Rumi's "Union" is a celebration of the ultimate spiritual connection—the union with the divine. Through rich metaphors and vivid imagery, Rumi describes the bliss and ecstasy that come from this sacred union. This poem invites us to transcend the material world and experience the profound joy of merging with the Beloved, the source of all love and light.

3. "Description of Love"
In "Description of Love," Rumi captures the ineffable nature of love. Love, according to Rumi, is not something that can be fully explained or contained in words; it is a force that moves through the universe, touching everything in its path. This poem challenges us to embrace love in all its forms, understanding that it is the driving force behind our existence and the key to spiritual growth.

4. "Love and Soul"
"Love and Soul" is a beautiful exploration of the intimate relationship between love and the soul. Rumi portrays love as the very essence of the soul, a force that shapes our identity and purpose. Through this poem, we are reminded that true love is not bound by physicality but is a profound spiritual connection that transcends time and space.

5. "Alchemy of Love"
In "Alchemy of Love," Rumi delves into the transformative power of love. Just as alchemy turns base metals into gold, love has the ability to transform the soul, elevating it to its highest potential. Rumi’s words encourage us to allow love to work its magic within us, turning our weaknesses into strengths and our fears into courage.

6. "Confused and Distraught"
This poignant poem reflects the inner turmoil and confusion that often accompany the spiritual journey. Rumi candidly expresses the feelings of being lost and overwhelmed, but he also offers hope, reminding us that these challenges are part of the path to enlightenment. Through this poem, Rumi encourages us to persevere, trusting that even in our darkest moments, the divine is guiding us towards the light.

7."We Can See the Truth in Your Eyes"
This poem is a powerful reflection on the clarity and truth that lie within us all. Rumi reminds us that the eyes are the windows to the soul, where the deepest truths reside. He encourages us to look beyond the surface and connect with the inner light that guides us towards truth, wisdom, and understanding.

Why These Poems Matter:
Rumi’s poetry is more than just beautiful words; it is a guide for the soul, offering profound insights into the human experience and the nature of the divine. These seven poems, each unique in their message and imagery, have the power to inspire, uplift, and transform your life. Whether you are new to Rumi’s work or a longtime admirer, this video will deepen your appreciation for his timeless wisdom and spiritual guidance.

New Video Posted: Omar Khayyam - The Rubaiyat in song (with captions)

Check out the latest video from hamed:
Omar Khayyam - The Rubaiyat in song (with captions)

Description: My song contains the essence of Omar Khayyam's famous poem in just six verses. I used the translation by Edward Fitzgerald as my source.

The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam

Dreaming – just as dawn lit up the sky – I heard a cry
“Wake up and fill the cup before the precious wine of life has all run dry
The bird of time has but a little way to fly
And see the bird is on the wing”

When I was young I studied with the wise men and the saints
But all I ever learned was that I come like water and like wind I go
Into this universe – why not knowing
And out of it - like wind across the wasteland blowing

Ah love, if you and I could understand this world entire
Would we not shatter it to bits and build it back much closer to our hearts desire?
What use is worrying how time slips by beneath our feet?
Or what is past or what’s to come – if today is sweet!

The moving finger writes and having written it moves on
There’s nothing you can do to bring it back and all your tears can’t change a word
It’s no use crying to the sky under which we live and die
The sky rolls on - as impotent as you or I

Oh come with old Khayyam and leave the wise to talk
One thing is certain – a flower blooms then dies - the rest is lies

A loaf of bread beneath the trees, a flask of wine, a book of verse
And you beside me singing – and this wilderness is paradise enough
Some people talk about a paradise that’s still to come
I’ll choose today over the music of a distant drum!

And if the wine you drink, the lip you press, end up as nothing
Then while you still live, drink! for once dead you never shall return
And when you pass among the guests star-scattered on the grass
And reach the spot where I made one – turn down an empty glass!
