Literal:

"Has there ever been a man so beautiful?
Or a cypress so tall and pleasant?

Poor is the heart of the one who rises from his side.
Fortunate is the body of the one who returns from his door."

Poetic:

"Could any man be more divinely fair?
Or any cypress reach such heights of air?

A heart most wretched, when from him you rise,
A body blessed, when to his door you prize."
