Literal:

"If there is fortune and luck and a bright day,
I will lay my head at your feet, O slender cypress.

It is easy for me to become dust under your footsteps.
I fear that you will step on my head."

Poetic:

"If fate should smile and fortune bless this day,
I'll lay my head at your feet, where I will stay.

To be as dust beneath your steps, a simple thing,
But fear grips me, lest you your foot should bring."
