ساقی به نورِ باده برافروز جامِ ما

مطرب بگو که کارِ جهان شُد به کامِ ما

ما در پیاله عکس رخِ یار دیده‌ایم

ای بی‌خبر ز لذتِ شُربِ مدامِ ما

***

هرگز نمیرد آن که دلش زنده شد به عشق

ثبت است بر جَریدهٔ عالم دوام ما

***

چندان بُوَد کرشمه و نازِ سَهی‌قدان

کآید به جلوه سروِ صنوبرخَرام ما

***

ای باد اگر به گُلشن اَحباب بگذری

زِنهار عَرضه دِه بَرِ جانان پیام ما

***

گو نام ما ز یاد به عمداً چه می‌بری

خود آید آن که یاد نیاری ز نام ما

***

مستی به چشمِ شاهدِ دلبندِ ما خوش است

زآن رو سپرده‌اند به مستی زمام ما

***

ترسم که صَرفه‌ای نَبَرَد روز بازخواست

نانِ حلالِ شیخ ز آب حرام ما

***

حافظ ز دیده دانهٔ اشکی همی‌فشان

باشد که مرغِ وصل کُند قصدِ دام ما

***

دریای اَخضَرِ فلک و کَشتی هِلال

هستند غرق نعمتِ حاجی‌قوام ما

Description:

English Translation:

O wine-server, fill our cup with the light of wine,
Let the musician proclaim that the world's affairs are to our liking.

We have seen the reflection of our beloved's face in the cup,
O you who are unaware of the pleasure of our constant drinking.

He who has had his heart enlivened by love will never die,
Our eternity is recorded on the tablet of the universe.

So great is the coquetry and pride of the slender-waisted ones,
That they come to outshine our cypress-like stature.

O wind, if you pass through the garden of friends,
Be sure to deliver our message to our beloved.

Why do you deliberately forget our name?
He who you do not remember by name will come of his own accord.

Drunkenness is pleasing in the eyes of our beloved,
Therefore, they have entrusted us with the reins of intoxication.

I fear that on the Day of Judgment, we will not be able to account
For the lawful bread of the sheikh from our unlawful water.

Hafez sheds a tear like a seed from his eye,
Hoping that the bird of union will intend our snare.

The green sea of the sky and the crescent moon ship
Are drowned in the bounty of our patron, Haji Ghawam.
