رونق عهد شباب است دگر بُستان را
می‌رسد مژدهٔ گل بلبل خوش‌الحان را
***
ای صبا گر به جوانان چمن باز رَسی
خدمت ما برسان سرو و گل و ریحان را
***
گر چنین جلوه کند مغبچهٔ باده‌فروش
خاک‌روبِ درِ میخانه کنم مژگان را
***
ای که بر مه کشی از عَنبرِ سارا چوگان
مضطرب‌حال مگردان، من سرگردان را
***
ترسم این قوم که بر دُردکشان می‌خندند
در سر کار خرابات کنند ایمان را
***
یار مردان خدا باش که در کشتی نوح
هست خاکی که به آبی نخرد طوفان را
***
برو از خانهٔ گردون به در و نان مطلب
کآن سیه‌کاسه در آخر بِکُشد مهمان را
***
هر که را خوابگه آخر مشتی خاک است
گو چه حاجت که به افلاک کشی ایوان را
***
ماه کنعانی من! مسند مصر آنِ تو شد
وقت آن است که بدرود کنی زندان را
***
حافظا می خور و رندی کن و خوش باش ولی
دام تزویر مکن چون دگران قرآن را

Description:
English Translation:
The garden is once again filled with the splendor of youth,
And the good news of the nightingale's sweet song arrives.
O gentle breeze, if you return to the garden's young ones,
Convey my service to the cypress, rose, and basil.
If the wine-seller's maid appears thus,
I will use my eyelashes to sweep the tavern's floor.
O you who play polo with an amber ball from the land of Sara,
Do not disturb the mind of this lost one.
I fear these people who laugh at the afflicted,
Will destroy faith in the tavern.
Be a friend of God's men, for in Noah's ark,
There is soil that the flood's water cannot wash away.
Leave the house of the heavens and seek bread,
For that black-bowl will eventually kill the guest.
Whoever's final bed is a handful of dust,
What need is there to build a palace in the sky?
O my Canaanite moon, the throne of Egypt is yours,
It is time to leave the prison.
Hafez, drink wine, be a rogue, and be happy, but
Do not trap others like a hypocrite with the Quran.
