Someone asked one of the scholars: "A man is sitting alone with a beautiful person, the doors are closed, the guards are asleep, his desires are strong, and his passions are overwhelming. As the Arabs say, the date is ripe, and the watchman does not prevent it. Is it possible for him, by the power of self-restraint, to remain safe from sin?"
The scholar replied: "Even if he remains safe from the beautiful person, he will not remain safe from the slanderers."
And if a person is safe from the evil within,
They will not escape the suspicion of accusers.
You may control your own actions,
But you cannot silence the tongues of people.
