English Translation for Hekayat

Do not inform the king of someone's betrayal unless you are completely confident that he will accept it; otherwise, you are risking your own ruin.

 

Prepare to speak, Only when 

You know that your words will be effective.

متن حکایت

پادشه را بر خیانت ِ کسی واقف مگردان، مگر آنگه که بر قبول ِ کلی واثق باشی و گر نه در هلاک ِ خویش سعی می‌کنی.

بسیج ِ سخن گفتن آنگاه کن

که دانی که در کار گیرد سخُن
