Whoever has an enemy ahead, if he does not kill him, he is his own enemy.

A stone in hand and a snake's head on a stone,

It is foolishness to hesitate and compare.

هر که را دشمن پیش است، اگر نکشد دشمن خویش است.

سنگ بر دست و مار سر بر سنگ
