Galen (a famous ancient physician) saw a fool grabbing the collar of a scholar and disrespecting him. Galen said, "If this fool were not ignorant, his situation would not have escalated to this point with wise men."
Two wise people will not have hatred or conflict,
And no wise person quarrels with a foolish one.
If a fool speaks harshly out of fear or ignorance,
The wise person gently seeks to win his heart.
Two people of heart will maintain a delicate balance,
And show respect, even when there's a desire to rebel.
But if ignorance prevails on both sides,
Even a chain will snap between them.
Someone with a rude nature insulted another,
But the other endured and replied: "O you with a good end,
I am worse than whatever you will say of me,
For I know my faults, as you do not."
