English Translation for Hekayat

An impious scholar is like a blind torchbearer.

He who wastes his life in vain gains nothing,
Spending his gold but purchasing no treasure.

متن حکایت

عالم ناپرهیزگار کور مشعله‌دار است.

بی‌فایده هر که عمر در باخت

چیزی نخرید و زر بینداخت
