English Translation for Hekayat

I heard an elder teacher advising his disciple, saying, “My son! If a person placed as much trust in the Provider as they do in the provision, they would surpass the rank of angels.

God did not forget you in that state
When you were a hidden, senseless drop of fluid.
He gave you a soul, nature, reason, and understanding,
Beauty, speech, thought, insight, and intelligence.
He arranged your ten fingers upon your hands,
And shaped your arms to rest upon your shoulders.
Now, do you think, O feeble-minded one,
That He will forget to provide for you?”

This Hekayat emphasizes the importance of trusting in the divine Provider rather than obsessing over one's livelihood, reminding us that the same Creator who gave us life and intelligence will also ensure our sustenance.
