English Translation for Hekayat

It is mentioned in the writings of wise scholars that a scorpion is not born like other animals. Instead, it devours its mother’s insides, tearing her belly open, and then escapes into the desert. The skins found in a scorpion’s nest are remnants of this act. I once shared this point with a distinguished person, and he replied, "My heart testifies to the truth of this; it could not be otherwise. Having treated its own mother and father with such cruelty when young, it is no wonder that it is so despised and unloved as an adult!"

A father advised his son:

“O fortunate young one, remember this advice:
Whoever is unfaithful to their own family
Will never find friendship or success.”

Someone asked the scorpion, “Why don’t you come out in winter?” It replied, “When I am not honored even in summer, why should I bother to show up in winter?”

This Hekayat illustrates the idea that those who act cruelly, even towards their own kin, will ultimately find themselves shunned and unloved. The scorpion, due to its nature, is never respected, no matter the season.
