English Translation for Hekayat

Whoever does not show mercy to those below him, will fall victim to the tyranny of those above him.

Not every arm that has strength in it,

Uses its strength to break the hand of the helpless.

Do not harm the hearts of the weak,

For you may fall prey to the tyranny of the strong.

متن حکایت

هر که بر زیردستان نبخشاید، به جور زبردستان گرفتار آید.

نه هر بازو که در وی قوتی هست

به مردی عاجزان را بشکند دست

ضعیفان را مکن بر دل گزندی

که در مانی به جور زورمندی
