شب گشت درین سینه چه سوز است عجب
میپندارم کاول روز است عجب
در دیدهٔ عشق مینگنجد شب و روز
این دیدهٔ عشق دیده دوز است عجب

English Translation of the Quatrain
What a strange burning is in this heart tonight,
I think perhaps it is the middle of the day.
In the eye of love, night and day cannot fit,
This eye of love is a wondrous, sewing needle.
